My garden through the year.

This is my garden at random points through the past year.

I'm pretty happy with how it's going. 7 years ago it was mostly lawn with a few small shrubs, I've gradually added more interest over that time. In summer I go a bit overboard with the colour. 😅

Looking forward to summer 2026!

Last 10% off code. Removed while I was in the shop 😡

My last 10% off code from Coupon Plus was expiring today. The expiry of coupons always goes to the end of the day when it says "expires today".

I made sure everything was active in the app this morning, went to do my shop and checked the receipt. The 10% coupon was nowhere to be found. Not redeemed, not anywhere on the app either.

So it must have been removed from my coupons mid shop or removed at the checkout.

Bastards.

Edit: Free bakery item with 3 days left also disappeared from coupons and didn't track on the receipt. So I'm guessing they're having a glitch :-(

Edit 2: £8.50 voucher received after complaining to customer service. Glitch confirmed. 👍

Edge 70 Pro (plus) - Mini Review

I've been using the UK variant of the Edge 70 Pro, known as Edge 70 Pro Plus in India, for a couple of days, comparing it to the Edge 60 Neo (the only other Motorola I have to hand at the moment).

It has great build quality, lovely screen. The curved edges are much more reduced in comparison to the Edge 60 Pro and 50 Pro.

The inclusion of a hard plastic mag safe case is a nice touch.

Performance is excellent, bloatware has been kept to a minimum compared to other Motorola's, which is good considering the high RRP of £750 in the UK.

Cameras are generally excellent, especially in daylight. The Telephoto lens produces great results, especially at 7-10x where Moto AI helps.

Surprisingly the low-light capability of the main lens is worse than the Edge 60 Neo in both Photo and Video. The Lytia 710 is meant to have better light pickup compared to the 700C in the 60 Neo, but every low light photo and video looks considerably darker and lacking in detail.

The speakers are both quieter and muddier than the Edge 60 Neo. The presets are also quite odd in that each of them adds a "spatial audio" echo, even with the setting disabled. Manually adjusting the equaliser sounds best, but it also significantly decreases the max volume... The speakers are a disappointment.

The handset has received a firmware update on first boot, but it's still a bit buggy. The colours don't change with the wallpaper automatically, the colour option has to be tapped after changing the wallpaper. The layout options in the home screen launcher keep resetting so my layout goes from 4 to 5 columns and vice versa seemingly at random.

Overall it's a nice phone that I got with a decent discount, but it's definitely not worth the £750 price tag. I'd recommend it if it were £400 or lower.

I purchased it for £474, and to be honest, I prefer the 60 Neo, which only cost £200.

I've just received the Edge 70 Pro here in the UK. This is expected to be sold as the Edge 70 Pro Plus in some countries.

In the UK/EU it ships with a hard plastic shell case, with magnetic charging ring, similar to the standard Edge 70.

The phone feels high quality, and the screen is gorgeous. The curves are not as pronounced as they are on the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 60 Pro.

If there is anything you'd like to know, just ask. I also have the Edge 60 Neo to compare it against.

This seems a bit odd, but my Moto G35 has just notified me that there is an update ready for Android 16.

It only got updated to Android 15 in February, and only received the April Security update yesterday...

I'm a bit cautious about updating as this feels like some sort of glitch?

Has anyone else received it?

The Edge 70 Pro (Not Pro Plus) has launched in the UK, but weirdly this variant has a 50MP 3.5x Periscope Camera instead of the fake camera on the variant that launched last week.

Also, Wireless Charging is included, which is similarly missing from the variant launched in India last week.

£749 though! That's £150 more than the £599 RRP of the Edge 60 Pro.
