On Saturday evening I (32F) had a nice date with a guy. We had good conversation and laughed a lot.
I could tell he was very very nervous and slightly awkward at the start, and I wasn’t sure how to interpret that.
We had a few drinks, a quick walk and then went our separate ways.
There was no attempt at a kiss or anything and we split the bill (my suggestion, I could tell he looked awkward when the bill came), and we hugged goodbye. There was a few mentions of staying in contact on the date but that could’ve just been politeness.
After we parted ways I messaged him saying I had a nice time, because I could tell he was nervous I wanted to signal some kind of interest and enjoyment. The chain went like this:
Me: thanks for a nice evening, great to meet you
Him: thank you for a lovely evening, I had a wonderful time. Did you get home okay?
Me: I did thank you, I hope you did as well
Then….nothing.
I’ve been debating reaching out again but I don’t want to do it if he’s clearly not interested. He knows where I am.
Thoughts?
