Hi. This is my first attempt of creating a Cursed Spirit, so I decided to convert Junji Ito's Tomie into one. I hope I didn't exaggerate too much.

Cursed Spirit Basics:

• Name: Tomie Kawakami
• Species: Vengeful Cursed Spirit (?)
• Grade: Special Grade (but usually Grade 2 or lower when it comes to combat prowess)

Description: Originally, the still human Tomie Kawakami was a young woman who was liked by the guys in her class and mutually disliked by the female students, in addition to having an intimate relationship with her teacher. Unfortunately, Tomie was murdered and quartered by a group, whose identities are still unknown. Somehow, she simply reappeared in her classroom a few days later, looking as if nothing happened with her.

Her personality also greatly changed after that day as every shed of her humanity seems to have been stripped away, resulting in her becoming a manipulative, narcistic sociopath who considers herself the most beautiful woman in the world and sees everyone else as lesser. The reason behind is her apparent resurrection and change is that she wasn't a human anymore at that point, having become a regenerative Cursed Spirit in human shape after her death.

However, she's far from being a regular Cursed Spirit. First of all, while her physiology is still composed of CE, Tomie is corporeal enough that non-Sorcerers are able to see and freely interact with her. Moveover, while non-Sorcerers can only see her as a regular woman, Sorcerers, on the other hand, can also see a second monstrous face growing out from her head, with this being her true appearance.

Tomie's origin as a curse is still unknown, but the Jujutsu Headquarters officially accepted two hypotheses as likely right.

The first and most accepted hypothesis is that the human Tomie Kawakami actually had a Sorcerer's brain and even her own Cursed Technique (despite being from a civilian family), with her death resulting in her becoming a Vengeful Cursed Spirit). The second theory is that the current "Tomie" is a Cursed Spirit simply took the identity of the original Tomie Kawakami, with her being a curse born from the negative emotions of the women who were abused and murdered just like Tomie herself.

Regardless of her origin, what is known is the method she used to become corporeal. The Cursed Spirit "Tomie" found the remains of the human Tomie and permanently fused with them. >!This is known because her Cursed Spirit body has the same DNA as her human body.!<

In order for this fusion to actually work and be stable, Tomie made her two first Binding Vows: the first that sacrificed her ability to go intangible and the second that sacrificed her ability to use Reinforcement. While she's stronger than what she looks like, this means that Tomie is normally only as strong as a regular non-Sorcerer.

During her first days at school, manipulating her first victims, she proceeded to make a series of other Binding Vows to strengthen her Innate Cursed Technique, Source of Obsession. These vows are what turned a considerably weak curse into a Special Grade Calamity that could destroy the entire Japan if left uncontrolled.

Cursed Technique:

Source of Obsession: The Innate Cursed Technique of the Cursed Spirit "Tomie" is composed by three aspects: Seduction, Consumption, and, the most dangerous of the three, Replication.

• Seduction: The first aspect of her CT targets anyone that feels some degree of attraction towards her, regardless of their gender and regardless if said attraction is romantic or sexual, causing them to completely fall in love with her. The more the victims are exposed to her, the more obsessive this love becomes. While this usually don't work on Sorcerers as they can see her real self, the strengthened Lapse of this aspect allows her to temporarily hide her monstrous appearance from most Sorcerers. Furthermore, while Tomie has a supernatural ability to seduce others, what makes this ability truly frightening is how skilled she is with emotional manipulation, allowing her to easily manipulate those enchanted by her into being her faithful servants or even manipulate people that aren't normally attracted to her to be attracted enough to be targeted by her technique.
  • Never-Ending Charm: As she wanted for her charms to be as effective as possible, Tomie made a Binding Vow that strengthened this aspect even further and reduced its CE consumption to a minimal. In exchange of this, the Seduction aspect of her CT became permanently turned on, meaning she can't deactivate it even if she wanted to.

• Consumption: The second aspect of her CT gives her the ability to convert a specific array of emotions directed towards her into more Cursed Energy and then absorb it for her own usage. The emotions (that were set by a vow too) include love, pleasure, and happiness, but the ones that generate most CE are jealously, anger, despair, and hatred. This means that the more people are following Tomie, the more CE she'll have available. However, the longer they're affected to her, the more prone to jealously they'll be, to the point they'll almost always end up in a murderous rage towards Tomie herself. Of course, when her followers inevitably end up murdering and dismembering Tomie again is the moment where the most dangerous aspect of her CT activates.

• Replication: When Tomie is killed and dismembered by an individual who was affected by her Seduction, the third and final aspect of her CT is activated, allowing her from regenerate from each part of her. However, instead of the original one returning this ife, a new Tomie will be born from each dismembered body part (that was at least as a big as a hand), with each new Tomie possessing the same memories, personalities, skills and CT as the original one. Fortunately, her regeneration is quite slow, taking two to three days until a hand-sized piece to grow into a complete Tomie in her full glory, but each piece will already be quite dangerous as they can move and modify their forms to attack others. Each piece also requires sustenance to regenerate, be it regular food, human flesh or just CE. In the worst scenario, a single Tomie can end up regenerating into tens of new Tomies, each one of them capable of dying and regenerating into tens of new Tomies.
  • Replication's Binding Vows: As the most important aspect of her CT, Tomie made a few Binding Vows to strengthen it as much as possible.
    • First and most important of them, this aspect can only be triggered when she's killed and dismembered by someone who is affected by her Seduction, with any body part removed by someone unnafected by it being dead forever and not giving birth to a new Tomie.
    • Second, a new Tomie will be unable to use her Seduction aspect will until she manages to fully regenerate her face. Due to this vow, some new "Tomie"s focus their regeneration on their head before they regenerate the rest of their bodies.
    • Third, similarly, a new Tomie will also be unable to use her Consumption aspect until at least half of her body have been regenerated, greatly limiting her offensive ability until she has grow enough.
    • Fourth and last, while each Tomie is an independent being, they count as twins that share the same Binding Vows for Jujutsu, so, now that there are multiple Tomies scattered around Japan, any new vow will only give a minimal return.

Extension Technique - Deformed Overgrowth: By using the strengthened Lapse of the Replication aspect, Tomie can activate her regeneration and growth even if she wasn't killed and dismembered yet. At the most basic usage of this technique, by using her default CE reserves, this allows her to regenerate even more effectively than healing herself using raw CE and to increase her physical condition by forcefully growing her muscles.

Once Tomie gets access a steady supply of CE from her victims, she can use this extension in more grotesque and powerful ways, like growing her limbs to monstrous sizes, generating extra limbs, changing her body into inhuman shapes, and even fusing with other Tomies to create monstrous chimeras. Fortunately, Tomie can't use Reinforcement, so there are limits to how much she can grow and mutate before her body reaches its limits.

Domain Expansion - Eternal Love of the Maneater: This is a domain with a fully enclosed barrier and an independent space for it, taking the form of a room made of human flesh, complete with eyes, mouths, and hair covering its walls. In addition to the regular sure-hit effect, anyone within its effective range will be affected by her Replication aspect, gradually having their flesh converted into Tomie's flesh until they become new Tomies after three minutes. Fortunately for her victims, if they manage to escape her domain before the conversion process is complete, they'll return to normal immediately without any lasting effect.

Addendum:

The "Tomie War": This is the informal name of a Jujutsu terrorism incident that happened in the cities surrounding the accursed Tokyo. In the year of 20XX, over fifty Tomies went to war against each other, each followed by their own squads of "lovers". This happened as a result of Tomie's own ego. As a Tomie sees herself as the most perfect being in the world, this means that she also sees her clones as lesser. Thanks to this, it's almost impossible for two Tomies to cooperate with each other and it wasn't uncommon for Tomies to actually battle each other, but this was the first and only time this resulted in a large scale incident that ended up causing hundreds of deaths. Fortunately, this incident was also the opportunity that the currently active Special Grade Sorcerers were waiting to eliminate almost every single Tomie at once, preventing them to spread to the rest of Japan.

The "Tomie Sisters": Among the many clones of Tomie, these three are special. The so-called "Tomie Sisters" were born from three babies that were forced to consume Tomie's body parts by a Curse User. As the babies were prepared to serve as cages, Tomie's flesh converted them into new Tomies, but they remained as their own individuals with hybrid physiologies similar to the Death Painting Cursed Wombs. The three sisters doesn't have any of the Cursed Spirit Tomie's Binding Vows (so they still have the original version of the Source of Obsession CT) and they can learn to use RCT, but they still age normally unlike the Cursed Spirits.
