Hello, I’m using a Tuncmatik 1000VA 600W UPS. I bought it about 5 months ago, but for the last 2 months I’ve been hearing a constant ticking sound that isn’t very disturbing. When I installed the software, I noticed the output voltage was around 200V, so I immediately connected a wattmeter, and yes—it really is outputting such a low voltage.
Anyway, when I turn the UPS off and on again, or simulate a power cut, it goes back to normal (same output-imput voltage). But after a short time, it switches back to this mode. It also shows about 3–4W higher input power from the wall compared to my wattmeter.
I use this UPS with sensitive electronics like a computer, monitor, and modem. Would running at around 200V cause any problems *long term* for these devices? I think it might be triggering when it exceeds 240V, but it doesn’t return to normal immediately. This happens maybe 30–40 times a day.
Is this normal or is it a problem?
