I was there, 3,000 years ago when the Crimson Fists were the first space marines, before there were Imperial Fists or Ultramarines or a heresy. In my universe the Crimson Fists went on to become the first legion after GW started the legion lore, and the Imperial Fists are a second founding chapter.
