Hi. I’m looking for a good camera to start photography as an hobby. I have a budget of 500€ max and i’m looking for a second hand camera. At the moment, I’m specifically looking at the canon eos m50. I’ve seen many people saying that it is a good camera and that the only problem is the fact that canon stopped producing M-mount lenses, but I don’t think i’ll haw more than 2-3 lenses tops. I’m mostly looking for a camera that’s really light because I’m looking for something that i can bring everyday in my trips. I’m planning to do some travels in the future and i want something that mostly can capture moments and memories with a good quality. I’m not looking to use the camera to do anything professional and that’s why i’m considering the m50. I’m actually curious to know if it can be a good idea buying it or if there’s better cameras.

I know there’s other options into the budget (for example the r100) but i’ve seen terrible opinions about that camera and that’s why i’m considering the m50, even if it’s a little bit old.

What you guys would recommend me?

Is it the m50 worth buying in 2026 considering what imm looking for?

My dad is saying if you want something you have to be there. After watching a couple of YouTubers, I found my passion and I took note of their rizzes. I am now considering buying a camera and my budget is $500. What camera should I buy to get dates on a daily basis. Is r/streetphotography the right sub for me because I only find photos and this is *erk sub so I thought this is more right for me.
