I was playing Rivals against this guy and I was winning 2-0. At some point, every time I had the ball — or even got close to getting it — my internet connection suddenly became unstable, reaching 990ms. That has literally never happened in 20 years of gaming with my connection.

Is it possible that the other player was somehow manipulating the match connection (sorry for the boomer/ignorant wording, but I genuinely don’t know much about this stuff), or was it just my own connection acting up? It’s really pissing me off because I was destroying him 3-1, and the only times he scored were exactly when my connection became unstable. Pretty suspicious.
