Today I did something I didn’t expect to ever do since starting my Chess journey 6 months ago: I hit 1300 rapid on Chess.com at the ripe age of 31 and I am officially higher rated than the Slowrun account! I hit 1306 today and the Slowrun account is currently at 1290.

Although trivial and temporary, this is surreal for me because watching the Slowrun is what got me hooked on trying to improve my Chess and I’m super proud that for a moment, I’m rated higher than the series that taught me pretty much everything I know about Chess.
