Hi everyone, I have a PS2 SCPH-90001 with a Matrix chip. I've been trying to follow tutorials to play games via USB drive and an external SSD. I used ImgBurn to burn several versions of uLaunch onto different discs, and I have OPL and the necessary files ready on a pendrive.

The problem is that when I start the PS2, it doesn't read the DVDs at all; it's as if it doesn't recognize the format. I also tried setting the boot mode to DEV1, but the screen stays black after the Matrix logo appears.

Does anyone know if I'm missing a step?

Also, I have another question: Is it an absolute requirement to have a virgin (OEM) PS2 Memory Card, or can I use a generic one?
