We have a 1m long partition wall between our kitchen and dining area. I’d like to remove this and to install a sliding door along the back wall. We’ve recently found out the wall is load bearing.

Approx how much should we expect to spend on engineering and a 4-5m beam to support the structure? I’m awaiting the quote in the next few days but just wanted to get an idea of what to expect. I believe the beam may be brought in from the roof (through removed roof tiles). Thanks
