I know that Amber's actions in Season 1 Episode 7/8 of Invincible are kind of done to death in the fandom at this point, but I am genuinely curious about this particular element of it.
There's some debate in the fandom as to whether or not Amber was telling the truth when she claimed she figured out Mark was Invincible "weeks ago". Some believe she was lying to avoid looking or feeling like an idiot for not figuring it out. Which means there are two hypothetical versions of Amber here:
1: The one who did know Mark was Invincible during the college attack and still pretended she thought Mark was a selfish coward for "running away".
2: The one who didn't know Mark was Invincible until Mark revealed it to her, and immediately pretended she knew all along.
In my opinion both are guilty of some shocking displays of gaslighting and narcissism, coming up with elaborate, self-serving lies on the spot that serve no other purpose than to hurt someone she's angry at. But I think Version 1 is worse, because Version 1 did it immediately after a life or death crisis where countless people, Mark and herself included, nearly died. If Amber 1 is the real Amber, that is psychotic behavior right there.
