Mainly just thinking about those kings and queens that tax the heaviest on its people. Lions in contention include (if I’m missing anyone, do tell!):

Again, we are considering those that have the biggest tax burden on their subject. The obvious picks are Kiros and Scar. I’m going to throw Simba in the mix. He’s got rebuild the Pride Lands after Scar’s reign. Thus he has to get the most money out to rebuild and make the Pride lands prosper.

With the baseball season upon us, my sports brain got me thinking. What positions and where in the hitting line up would certain LK characters be slotted in? This post is my sequel to my previous one where I made an AU where LK characters are hockey players. And because baseball has so many positions and is intriguing to guess lineups, why not have some fun with it.

For this exercise, I’ll be going over a normal batting order and slotting each character in their respective positions. I’ll do my best to explain why this character fits this position over another. And for those that don’t know, batting order usually goes like this: 1 is your speedster and best hitter, 2 is your best quality hitter, 3/4 are your power hitters but are slow, 5/6 are mainly your quality hitters as well, 7/8/9 are your least reliable hitters but they have to hit as they are playing the game. (I know I didn’t explain that very well but it’s best I can do in 5 mins without research lol). I’ll also include the coach and starting pitcher! With that brief overview, let’s play ball and let’s meet the Pride Lands baseball team!!

1. Batting first and playing centerfield, I have Fuli. Fuli is the quickest in all the Pride lands. Earning that becoming that role in the guard. Because of that, her speed really helps her here. She can cover most fields in a flash and can get to unthinkable fly balls that come to her in an instant. But at bat, she has some quality moments. And can easily get two bases.

2. Batting second and playing shortstop, I have Rafiki. Rafiki is up this high for the moment he started swinging at Hyenas. Plus with his crazy nature, he can really be elusive in the field. He can easily drive in lots of runs.

3. Batting third and playing first base, I have Simba. Simba definitely gained lots of muscle once he took some in the Pride lands. I mean his figure drastically changed from TLK1 to TLK2! He’s more know for his power swings and big hits. But he is athletic and can play the field very well.

4. Batting fourth and the designated hitter (a player that only hits), I have Beshte. You want power? This is your power hitter. Reliable and can easily get massive hits all the time. What else is there to say?

5. Batting fifth and playing left field, I have Nala. Nala is here mainly for her running and speed. Her chase with Pumbaa shows she is athletic and speedy. And I think she has a pretty good arm to throw deep balls from the outfield to any base. Plus, her batting power can be elite and gets quality hits.

6. Batting sixth and playing third base, I have Kiara. Third base is where you need someone nimble and I think Kiara fits that bill. She’s fast and elusive, I mean her ability to move while being chased by rhinos is why she is here. She ain’t the best hitter but can get some decent hits in the game whenever possible.

7. Batting seventh and playing catcher, I have Kovu. Playing the catcher position is where you need to quick as well. Most catchers in the MLB are bigger and have lots of power. Kovu fits that bill. His arm to get throw downs are great, he may not be the best hitter, but can still hit the ball.

8. Batting eighth and playing second base, I have Pumbaa. Pumbaa is here because I feel like can be quick. The chase with Nala shows he can cover lots of ground. I don’t think he can hit the ball well, rather tries to eat it all the time. Still he plays on the team.

9. And finally, batting ninth and playing right field, I have Ono. You need some to catch fly balls and get those hard to reach ones, that’s Ono. But his short stature really makes it difficult to swing the bat and get hits.

And your starting pitchers, I have both Bunga and Timon. Both definitely have the arm and hands to throw (if we are being realistic here lol) and I think we have seen them actually throw something. Timon can be more of fast ball pitcher while Bunga definitely has a wide array of pitches in his arsenal.

And to coach/manage the team, the obvious one is Mufasa. His wisdom and ability to get everyone involved on the team ready to play is his strength. (Plus James Earl Jones played a character in The Sandlot that went up against Babe Ruth. It’s true!) if there is anyone that can help a team win, it’s Mufasa.
