Great episode guys. Since you were talking about the determine value potion as a narrative device, which is absolutely an interesting idea, I thought I’d tell yall my favorite theory I’ve heard in all of DCC speculation.
I don’t remember who said it, but someone on Reddit posited that the determine value potion might have unspecified benefits. Things like determining the value of actions in any given scenario. This could be an answer to his superpower to make ridiculous plans that work and split second decisions that mean life or death. It also doesn’t mention that any other skill or stat he has goes up, but there are hidden stats. The only hidden stat we really know of is the Wisdom stat. That shit could be buffed to hell because of this seemingly mediocre potion.
