hello i am new to anime is anikoto(dot)to safe
Sleep anxiety is when you cant fall asleep then get anxious and stress about not being able to sleep mine was like i would wake up in middle of the night and then wont be able to go back to sleep (i dont speak english so might not be able explain everything clearly)
Things that helped me:
Having something going on: sitting all day doing nothing new makes my sleep anxiety worse doing something interesting like watching a new show diverts mind and while falling asleep i would usually notice myself thing about that show.
when you get anxious thought about not being able to sleep dont focus on it or just accept that okay i might not be able to sleep and then just think about anything but sleeping like maybe something going on in your life just let the thought come naturally
Absolutely not looking forward to sleeping during the day do whatever you want study walk exercise go to work but dont think about sleeping, the less you get think about it the less stress you will feel. try to forget that you cant sleep
Remember its very normal to not be able to fall asleep happens to everyone you just started noticing it and got anxious its very easy to break that loop. The harder you try the more difficult it will get be nonchalant or something just let this phase pass.. it will be normal again once you understand what helps you and what dont.
