Terrible Lamotrigine experience
I had so many hopes for this med after reading all the reviews.
So I titrate in the usual slow way, 25, 50 100. At 100 I had my first brief period of nausea and anxiety but all was ok. Then I went from 100 200 and an hour later I’m crippled by nausea and anxiety for 4 days!
This has been one of the worst experiences of my life . The anxiety was hell, I was worried I was stopping breathing etc. I luckily got in touch with my Dr who told me to stop and gave diazepam.
Any ideas why this happened?? Was 100 - 200 too quick. Am I just too sensitive to it? I’ve read a lot that this med gives anxiety so was it coming anyway?
I need to decide next week what to do. But to be honest after this experience I’m terrified to take it again at any dose.
