Update

I posted a while back about my labs being gray -area low, but consistently over a 6 month span. My doctor skipped the ACTH stim because he thinks it's a central issue. The crh synthetic hormone is in a shortage, so that test is no longer the next step. He has a referral in at a big research hospital to see if they can do the crh test. In the mean time, he's running my aldosterone and renin levels. With my lab numbers he's giving me a partial central adrenal insufficiency diagnosis. Does this sound right? Here are my labs again for reference

Am cortisol 6, ACTH 5

AM cortisol 6, ACTH 11

AM cortisol 10, ACTH 5

I've been tested 3 times now because I always fall into an iffy range.

First test: 8am cortisol 6, ATCH 6

Second test: 8am cortisol 7, ATCH 11

Third test: 8am cortisol 10, ATCH 6

I have a pituitary microadenoma, but my other hormone tests are normal so I don't think it's functioning... At least that's what I keep reading 😬.

I have been gaining weight. I also have hashimotos. So my Endo just doesn't think sai fits me, mostly because of the weight gain and lack of symptom severity, but she can't rule it out with these tests. She mentioned a CRH, but wanted to run the tests one more time (which is that third set). She seems to think a stim test is a waste of time for me. Thoughts?? I honestly love my Endo because she is really trying to figure things out for me, but I would love to have a better handle on this before my next appointment so I can ask better questions!
