Cant hook up wah pedal "correctly" in a chain

I have 4 pedals, a boss ds-2, a big muff pi, a boss tu-2, and a vox wah pedal. Everything I have seen has said that the correct way to set this up is guitar -> wah-> tuner -> ds2 -> big muff -> amp. When I try hooking it up in this order it sounds wrong whereas when I connect it like guitar -> tuner -> ds-2 -> big muff -> wah -> amp, it works well and sounds like it should. Part of me wants to just stick with what works but the other part wants to know why the "correct" way wont work, please let me know whats going on, im new to linking all these pedals so very well could just be making a stupid mistake. The yellow cable is to the amp and the black cable is to the guitar.

College for audio Engineering

Im looking to pursue audio engineering as a career. Ive seen a lot saying that you shouldnt get a degree for audio engineering but I want to go to college. I am currently in highschool and will be graduating with a general ed associates and a game design and animation certificate from community college, I would like to get into a job such as audio design for games or films. Im wondering what the best major and minor would be for this career path. I was thinking something like Audio Engineering major and computer science minor, but im wondering what other people think. I know a job like this is more about general skill then the education you have but I want as much stability as possible. What would be the best plan to pursue music/ audio engineering with stability or a good fallback making 70-100k.
