AITJ For Conducting A Realistic Emergency Drill At Work?
I (39 M) recently became concerned that my coworkers were unprepared for emergencies. Management ignored my concerns, so I decided to run an unannounced fire drill to test everyone’s reactions. Unfortunately some coworkers panicked, one person damaged company property, and another had a medical issue.
I did not know this medical issue would happen, but still is it not better for a medical issue to pop up during a fake fire than during a real emergency. Because of my test the company is now better equipped to handle a real fire, but now the head executives want to punish me.
But honestly, didn't this drill just prove my point that they weren’t prepared? AITJ?
