Looking for HVAC tech opinions
Tempstar Deluxe high wall 18k BTU cold climate unit installed May 2024 (DLCPRBH18AAK / DLFPHBH18XAK).
Feb 2025:
refrigerant recovered/recharged
part replaced
Dec 2025/Jan 2026:
unit stopped heating properly
Jan 20 2026:
4-way valve replaced
nitrogen leak test
vacuum
full recharge (91.71 oz)
Unit failed again roughly 2 hours later.
Independent HVAC company later noted oil traces + suspected leak issues near prior repair area.
At this point, would most of you continue repairing this unit or recommend replacement?
