Consciousness: A System’s Framework Analysis

We feel consciousness in various forms. Different mental states, from flow experience in athletes, to drug induced alterations, to pathological conditions, to death. In any state, body is actively changing, but we don’t necessarily feel the change. Even after death, the body undergoes chemical and physical changes. So where is consciousness? Is it in the body? In the brain? In things? Does a dog have consciousness? If yes, is there a difference between ours and theirs? How about a stone?

Sixty-one numbered remarks. Different states of consciousness reveal some patterns or maybe the pattern. Awareness, sleeping, anesthesia, seizure, death. It doesn't solve the hard problem and it doesn’t reveal the basic unit of consciousness.

However, patterns show relations. And I believe our brain is mostly tuned to understand the relations.

So what is consciousness? Does it have a measuring unit? Who are we?
