Basically, I was told by my boss that I wasn’t performing within expectations as part of the mid-project feedback. I was hired as a manager at this new job and supposed to be the sole model builder (software). I just found out that he was also building other things which I appreciated cause there’s so many that would have to be done. Plus, he changes some things on my builds, which I again don’t mind cause maybe it’s a better way to do it. But I didn’t expect it would be counted against me. I tried to ignore the lingering sadness coming from knowing it, and kept on performing to the best of my ability. But it’s just demotivating. For context, this is a small consulting firm. Before this, I worked for an industry firm. I kind of wanting to go back to an industry. The new job though gave me a 40% bump in my salary. Many thanks!
