Need advice for Warm sounding IEMs

Picking from my thread on Tangzu Wan'er Red Lion Edition here: https://www.reddit.com/r/iemlndia/s/258SqBT1YA, I have received a store-credit.

I have two choices now:

  • To pass the credit with a discount to fellow members(those interested can DM me) and buy something locally from The Audio Store, Pune
  • OR Buy something from HPZ, if the recommended option is available with them.

Need your advice on picking my IEM. Here is my requirement:

  • Warm sound, bass is needed but it should not eat into the other regions
  • I would rather NOT sacrifice fullness and warmth for the sake of clarity.
  • Bass is definitely important but I don't like BoAt kinda empty bass, with a muddy sound signature.
  • Wide sound-stage
  • Durability, accessories are all secondary (don't want to fall in the Red Lions trap again)
  • I have a DAC(Audiocular Beam) which works great with my current headphones and earphones. Would like to avoid USB-C options unless they are too good. I love the convenience of USB-C versions, BTW.
  • Budget 1.5k 4k. Good sound at a lesser price is fine. So, if a KZ Caster Pro ticks all ghe boxes for me, I would happily buy it.

Here are current possessions for reference:

  1. Jabra Evolve UC40
  2. JBL Tune Beam 2
  3. Sennheiser HD206
  4. Sony MDR-EX150AP
  5. Realme Buds 2

Happy with all of these, just looking to explore IEMs if they can sound better than my earphones(Sony, JBL and Realme). If nothing(pun unintended) can sound better than these for my budget of upto 4K, I will prefer to pass my store-credit to a fellow member for a discount.

Got these from Headphone Zone yesterday.

Bought the 3.5 mm version with mic, paired it with Audicular Beam which is an excellent DAC for its price.

I was surprised with the lack of bass and a very flat response that needs a lot of EQing. In fact even after that they sound inferior to a very old pair of Realme Buds 2 bought several years back.

It could be my ears as everyone else seems to be all praise about these. I like warm signature and these sound very treble-heavy out of the box. Am I missing something?

I am willing to part with these if someone is interested. Those in Pune can take a listen and collect..

Did anyone make a purchase recently on The Audio Store?

I recently bought a DAC on their portal(https://www.theaudiostore.in). They didn't send me any invoice over email, only attached a document with the product which has my Order Details. I had clearly added my GST number while placing the order which was omitted in the document.

Upon calling them, they informed me that they don't issue invoices unless we specifically ask for it. Also, asked me to wait for a couple of days for the accounts team to generate the invoice and send me. Haven't received it yet.

Let's beware as manufacturers deny warranty if genuine invoices are not available, otherwise anyone can create a PDF document and claim warranty for the product.

Wondering if it's just me or others have experienced this issue as well.
