Cultural differences in aromantic/asexual "culture"

I came to this reddit because of my therapist. I don't know if I can call myself asexual/aromantic because I don't have a lot of terms for emotions which is okay for me.

After reading on this reddit I figured out a coming out is important for a lot of young people. Also, in the US seems to be a concept of whats called "queerplatonic relationship".

Now I read a bit on a German forum and the topics are different, no microlabels (demiromantic etc) and no mentioning of queerplatonic relationships. What people mentioned is a "purpose-driven" type of relationship that you have to raise children, buy a house etc. The people there are clearly older than on this reddit which explains less coming out related questions. In terms of asexuality it was a common idea to try out things like kissing, cuddles, sex etc to see what you do and don't like which I never read about on this reddit.

Does anybody know why there are different "lifestyles", "culture" (or however you want to call it) of aromantic/asexual people in different cultures?
