Hello,

It's my first time doing a tax return, can someone help with this question:

'Did you receive any interest, for example, from UK banks, UK building societies, UK unit trusts (or untaxed foreign interest up to £2,000)?'

Does this include ISA's? The help text didn't really say.

Same with this one:

Did you receive any dividends, for example, from UK companies, authorised unit trusts, open-ended investment companies (or dividends from foreign companies up to £500)?

Does it include ISA's?

Made a slight mistake and allowed my tenant to bring in a few lodgers as he could not make rent.

I realised recently i am not fully aware of how much they pay or if the right legal checks have been made on the lodgers.

he is now saying he does not need to show me the contracts as he is the landlord of them and not me. I suspect he does not want me to see how much he is earning.

Surely i have a legal obligation here to know who is residing in the property?
