Trying to remember a older R&B song about a man wishing he listened to his mother warnings about a girl he married.
im trying to remember a song i had heard a couple years ago. The song tells the story of a man bringing a girl to his mother and being told to leave that girl alone because shes trouble, he doesn't listen and marries her soon after, only for the girl to cheat on him and break his heart leaving him to reflect on what his mother said and wishing that he had listened. the song was very sad, slow and soulful. i think the time period it come out was from 1960s to late 70s possible earlier. The singer was a young black guy.
