2018 Maserati Ghibli reliability?

2018 Maserati Ghibli reliability?

I found a 2018 Maserati Ghibli base a few weeks ago. Went to check it out, perfect in and out. Paint is fantastic, upholstery is well taken care of, best car I’ve ever driven. $17,800, 51k miles. Took it to a pre-purchase inspection, they stated that the timing chain will need to be replaced, needs a new serpentine belt, but besides that it’s in perfect condition and has been well taken care of. However, because of these two issues, my wife has decided to make it her mission to hate it. She says that it’s not reliable enough, it’s going to always be in the shop, and it’s not a good enough car for what i need. Thoughts? It can’t possibly so issue prone, I’ve read a lot of reviews and whatnot and talked to a few mechanics, they all say the same thing. As long as maintenance is done, it’ll be fine. And while maintenance and service is a little expensive, it’s nothing crazy.
