[ONLINE][OTHER][CAIN][Thursday]Dispatch inspired campaign (not same universe) using CAIN as a system base. Basically, Superheroes.
Hiya folks, we're a few months into the campaign and we had a player drop due to scheduling issues. Nitty gritty, we're currently at CAT III for the mentees and CAT IV for the mentor. If you feel like playing a voice of reason amidst chaos, sign up below.

APPLY NOW!
Are YOU manifesting signs of potential energy? Temporal paradoxes? Unexplained Fires? Your dog inside of a wall?
well look no further, apply to join the Super Hero Association and we'll put you on a team with peers and with an experienced mentor who will guide you through learning how to use your powers the right way.
We want what's best for you, so if you or a loved one is showing signs of Potential Energy, show them this form, we encourage you to sign up.
----------------------------------
The Year is 2013, human history has stayed its course mostly unaltered by the inclusion of the bizarre and sometimes horrible Potential Energy. A well of paracasual power which alters those it touches with strange, wondrous and sometimes aberrant powers.
It's up to the Super Hero Association to find these heroes when they're young so they can teach them how to control their powers under mentors. All across the globe the Association employs this, a sort of boarding school for potential 'Heroes' who mentor beneath a more experienced Hero.
YOU are one such kid, you've either been signed on by a guardian or plucked out of juvie for causing hell with your new found powers. Either way, your gonna learn how to control them so you ain't a danger to others and most importantly yourself.
Hello! I'm an experienced DM of around 7 years? I've run a bunch of cool systems from masquerade to DND to the official fallout game (which is awesome btw).
I recently got enamoured with Dispatch and I was also mid CAIN campaign whilst playing through it and thought to myself "A Dispatch styled CAIN game using superheroes instead of exorcists would be pretty swell". So here is the deets.
If your familiar with CAIN or not this is friendly to both and I will take time during a one on one to explain the mechanics and any changes I have made as well as important lore.
I overhauled the Blasphemies into homebrewed superpowers which fit the world. And I've found that the terms translate quite well whilst writing them.
You will play a young adult or teenager of 16-18, you will be freshly manifesting or have manifested your powers semi-recently and will be coming to terms with new abilities and the struggles that come with them whilst being thrust into the dangerous world of superheroism.
Each mission will see you dispatched from an association building to investigate a Villain or Monster, find their weaknesses and pin them down before they can enact whatever plan they have.
Intermission segments will be for levelling up, advancing and working on relationships and powers.
That's the plain and simple of it. Now you might be wondering, when is this and what sort of table would I be joining.
- Games are on Thursday, I'm in the UK but we run SUPPPER late for me at 10PM GMT and run for 3-4 hours each session.
- Table is 18+
- Everyone gets on fine and if there are issues, you talk it out and solve your grievances. Festering grudges and spite make for a bad game.
P.S: Putting this down here, this isn't a must have or a requirement, but the player we lost was playing a voice of reason, with a good natured character. The party would prefer a character with that sort of archetype.
