Hi all I am looking to run a long term DND campaign and based on the story I would like to tell, it can only described as a power fantasy from zero to fighting demi gods. I'm looking for advice on how some of you ran such a campaign. What would I need to avoid e.g. giving them special abilities to early on, what I can do to help balance encounters since they will be strong for thier level or some things or helpful tips to help sell the idea of coming from nothing and now they fighting gods.

Hi, I am looking for dragons who's main gimmick is teleportation, planar travel, making portals or any other similar abilities. If someone can point me in the right direction wether its from previous editions or 3rd party supplements any will be appreciated, thank you.
