I'm building a new listening room mostly music + games. I'm working on the treatment plan and trying to experiment with different approaches. I also want to make it look as good as possible. So, I had an idea, on top of normal treatment with panels to make maybe few flower stands, with like 5-8 hand made big pots with some plants. I gather that plants themselves are useless for acoustic but what about pots and dirt?
What if I buy normal big pot and wrap it in rockwool or something? Would that do anything good?
I imagine the hard material of the pot itself would be reflective, so it'd be better to have it acoustically transparent but no idea if it's possible.
What if I just put dirt in a pot made from rockwool?
