Diamond for them , blockage for others.

Think, a person is running a business in a residential building which is built on an authorized land and then uses public road for parking his tempo's so that he can transport his goods . On a two way lane , where the reserve area is used by streetvendors, he directly uses road for parking his vehicle and movement of goods.

Is this the city planning which a smart city deserves ?
When you use FSI for of an open area to make a building , that ground should remain empty, making a temporary pagdi building on it to earn, what is the level of corruption ?

Without commercial land letting a plywood business run on such a narrow lane, in a residential building. Is it just corruption or public really lack education ?

Support Required

I had a conversation with KDMC official.
They are not able to take action on the people selling food on streets (especially chinese ) & having unsafe GAS cylinders also creating polution on road. As no one has lodged an official complaint.

I want to request all the KDMC residents to click photo of any street seller having unsafe gas cylinders on road, becuase it is major safety concern.
Lodge a complaint via
https://grievances.maharashtra.gov.in/en/pg-portal-grievance/track-grievance-verification

Alternatively you can approach ward office of your area.
Please try and complaint in month of May.

Before there is major incident happens.

Kalyan Shilphata Road which took over 10 years to look like a road , in last 6 years they did built some part of it.

But which was planned as three lane on both sides road , why has rough patches all over ?

Why some sections are perfectly made and some sections are just left like that ?

Why some bridges were built, some are left halfway ?

Why they didn't complete the road first , then start the metro work .

Who will ask questions?

Who will get it completed ?

Or they will keep this road like these for years, half encroached, unplanned and zig zag like a maze.

Suddenly at night 11.10 - 11.15 you start loud noise and then outside window you can't see anything?

It feels like a road procession , very low quality local band , playing music in a very pathetic manner.

When you can't see anything from your balcony, then you go down and find out that 10 buildings away from you. Some family not having civics sense is having marriage ceremony in society compound of their building and playing this pathetic band and dancing on it at night 11.30 pm.

But because all of them are drunk, you can't tell them directly to stop. So only option left is disturbing police at night 11.30 pm.

On 1st May 2026, we faced the same issue, we called Manpada police station within 5 mins police arrived and stopped this nuisance.

Questions :

Why can't they take a marriage hall and dance inside ?

May be a resort or something if they want to do late night dance ?

There was tata safari standing outside, everyone was wearing expensive jewellery and they looked to have sufficient money. To take a small hall and do this function.

Instead of using society compound & parking space.

And disturbing all other residential complexes, just to save their money.

Imagine a small town where local tailors and cobblers have spent generations perfecting their craft. They provide jobs, support their families, and keep the local currency circulating. Then, a massive shipment of free, donated clothing and shoes arrives from a wealthy distant land.

Initially, the town rejoices—everyone has "new" clothes for free. However, the ripple effect is devastating:

  • The Market Collapse: Because clothing is now free, no one visits the local tailor. The tailor, unable to compete with "free," goes out of business.
  • The Loss of Skill: With the tailor gone, the apprentice he was training loses his future. The specialized knowledge of the craft begins to fade from the community.

The Cycle of Dependency

When the charity shipment eventually stops, the town is left in a worse position than before. The local industry has been dismantled, the skilled workers have moved away, and the town is now entirely dependent on the next "gift" to survive.

As the sign in the image suggests, the "cost" of the gift was the town’s own ability to provide for itself. It transforms a productive economy into a landscape of boarded-up windows and empty streets, illustrating how well-intentioned aid can accidentally "kill" the long-term economic soul of a place.
