Hi, I have an SC550 (Deluxe) with aftermarket pickups and really feel like the guitar is missing the pickguard. I love the look of it on the Les Pauls and would really love to add it, but that would mean I have to drill into the body.

Is it a good idea and are there any specific pickguards I should choose?
