I Finally Turned a Profit Sports Betting After 5 Years of Being Down

I started sports betting in mid-2021, something entertaining during the pandemic. It started out okay, but I hit a rough patch and 10/22/21 would be my last day in the green. I lost bets, chased, was undisciplined and the bets got bigger to make the money back quick, and those lost too. Fast forward 2 years later, 10/15/23, and I’d lost almost 5K. I enjoyed sports and betting on sports but took a break to recalibrate. I told myself if I wanted to continue, many things in my approach and mentality needed to change. I found some cappers I trusted, was more diligent about my unit size (uniformed size of bets I’m making), and absolutely NO chasing bets. It took my almost 3 years, but as of today, I can say I am out of that debt. (Last few pictures breakdown my betting by year). Using this as a PSA to please bet responsibly, people lose way more money than I have doing this, but there can be hope, it just won’t happen overnight. (Depending on the circumstance, sometimes it is just better to walk away entirely).
