So I bought this monitor arm, because the default stand on my MSI 275QFE21 monitor is not that great, I kept hitting the stand with my mouse when flicking.

Started installing this, came to the clamp and realised that this doesn't really fit my table all the way, because of this back panel.

I forced it as much as I could, and tightened it to my best ability, but it still leaves this overhang ,as you can see on the little rubber circular grips, and I'm a bit concerned about the safety.

Should I drill through the back panel, to safely tighten the clamp, or is this totally safe and I'm just overreacting?

From the rare instances I heard, someone either got connected to a friend or relative, from Germany, to escape the risk of customs and expensive shipping, that cost up to 50euro, more expensive than the product itself, or their package got seized.

Is there any reliable method, or should I just give up, because I want to make a huge order of jerseys, and sneakers if they are available.
