A while back, my friends and I had the same problem every round: we’d play skins, Nassau, closest-to-the-pin, random side bets, etc., and we all have different golf tracking apps, tried to keep track on the score card, and did a bunch of math at the end of the round to settle up.
So I started building a an app to track the bets and scores live.
Then I just kept adding stuff.
Friends who weren’t playing wanted to follow along and talk trash, so I added observer mode. Then we wanted custom bets during the round. Then we started messing with odds-style bets. One friend records a lot of his rounds, so I added content/scoreboard graphics you can export. And because a few guys hated entering scores into another app, I added an AI scorecard scanner that can read a real or digital scorecard and import scores.
Right now it supports things like:
- Live round scoring
- Skins, Nassau, Match Play, Wolf, Vegas, Sixes, Stableford, etc.
- Side bets like closest-to-pin / longest drive
- Custom bets during the round
- Observer mode for friends not playing
- Round chat
- AI scorecard scanning
- End-of-round settlement math
- Content creator scoreboard graphics
- Lifetime stats / P&L
- Tournaments
- Stroke give up suggestions
Important note: the app does not handle money or payments. It just tracks the games/math for groups who already play these kinds of side games.
I’m a solo developer and this started as a “vibe coded something for my friends” project, so I’m looking for golfers who will actually try it during a round and tell me what’s confusing, missing, or broken.
