Hey everyone, I had a few questions about becoming an ER tech at 16. Right now I work as an aide in a nursing home and have been there for about 10 months total, with around 3 months as an aide. I’m getting my EMT license by the end of June and I’m thinking about getting ACLS and PALS certifications too to help my application stand out.
I know being 16 might limit some things, but I was wondering if anyone has gotten hired that young as an ER tech or knows hospitals that hire younger EMTs/techs. Would the EMT, ACLS, and PALS actually help a lot, or
would most places still wait until 18?
Also, what other things could I do to improve my chances? Thanks!
