hppd flareup or DPDR?
Hi, I’m here to give an update. It’s been three months since my flare-up started, and I’m becoming more convinced that this is an episode of depersonalization and derealization rather than an HPPD flare-up.
My visual symptoms are: more saturated colors, the illusion of movement, breathing patterns, highly defined textures, stronger visual snow, a camera-like movement sensation when I move, the feeling that my memories belong to another life, a sense of being in a parallel reality, and the feeling that my brain isn't working right or is 'broken.'
I started taking Lamictal (I’m still on 75mg) and I take Lorazepam to sleep; otherwise, I suffer from terrible insomnia. I hope there is a cure for this—I don't want to and can't live like this. I’d appreciate your opinions or if you could share if you’ve experienced something similar or think you can help. Thanks for reading.
