I do 3 sets of 10 reps for all of my workouts, I end up failing on the third set usually but i’ve heard that i should be doing 1 set or 2 sets of 8 or 10 instead and that i’m causing fatigue to my muscles, Is this true? And if so then what should i be doing instead

i started working out about maybe this week or the week before, And every-time i hit arms i do Preacher curls and Hammer curls for 3 sets of 8-10. My left arm is able to complete each set and only fail on the last while my right fails on the second set around 5th rep, What do i do? For reference i’m curling 25 pounds and once my right arm fails i drop my right dumbbell to 20 and continue till i reach proper failure, How do i fix this?
