I just got the laptop back from the repair shop. Some shorts happened, but it's story is quite peculiar.

I got it second hand like 4-5 years ago. I've always had overheating problems with it, but silly me who never had a gaming laptop before thought this was normal. I kid you not, from 2022 to today, I always used this laptop throttled at 100c.

This is because both me and it's previous owner were to dumb to actually take it cleaning. And all the service people I've taken it to so far never thought about opening the heatsink. I kid you not, I extracted a 0.5 cm thickness layer of dust that was literally asphyxiating the vents. After that the laptop went down to 50-60c temps which is amazing to me.

I'm thinking of getting a newer one, maybe a lower end version because I only play League nowadays, but I'm wondering if it's cooling system will be as efficient? The vents and fans on this thing are absolutely huge. My main priority in a laptop rignt now is longetivity, and this laptop did not disappoint considering how badly it's been treated. That's why I must ask, is it worth the upgrade?
