I've seen many people ask about which crit body to pick with their Evanescia builds. This is one upgrade to both natural crit stats for each piece, difference being cr body vs cdmg body.
Crit dmg is easier to build because probability-wise, it's easier to land upgrades spread out over two stats, than it is to get multiple upgrades on one stat. You're better off running cdmg body, because otherwise you run the risk of overcapping on cr more easily. One might argue that a piece with just crit dmg would solve that, but the burden of solely upgrading crit dmg is still high in that case.
Also this is with Yao Guang LC, but the point still stands.
This isn't to say that cdmg body is always better, if your pieces are naturally really gifted in cdmg, then yes optimize for capping cr.
