"Snape is forgiven because we infantilize men under patriarchy"?

"Snape is forgiven because we infantilize men under patriarchy"?

Snape section goes a bit on the Alan Rickman casting and that his behavior is less excusable as a young Snape. I find it horrible regardless of his age. If anything, it makes more sense with a younger Snape, while I expect an older Snape to be not so much perturbed and offended, rather just annoyed and tired of Harry, just how Rickman portrayed it in the movies.

Next is the conflation of Snape's personal behavior and his actions in the grander schemes to defeat Voldemort. The conclusion that we side with Snape because we infantilize him under patriarchy is not a take I have heard and fully understand. Does it refer to accept and dismiss a persons emotional flaws as long as the net result is satisfactory? As in, "yeah, this person is a piece of shit, but they had a troubled past and couldn't help themselves, look what they accomplished for our benefit"?

I also didn't quite got her first description of the fandoms depiction of him. Something like babydaddyfication?

Switch 2 - waiting for update? Also, why are the exclusives so poor?

>An updated version of the Nintendo Switch under model number "HAC-001(-01)" was announced on July 17, 2019, and was released in Japan and North America in mid-August 2019, and in the United Kingdom in September 2019. This revision uses the Tegra X1+ SoC, a more efficient chipset compared to the Tegra X1 used in the original model. Thus, the time-on-battery was effectively extended to 4.5–9 hours, depending on the game being played.

Can we expect the Switch 2 to get a version with better hardware, as well? Would it be wise to wait?

I imagine over the years, some of the Switch's 2 hardware flaws are apparent and may be easily fixed, if possible, just with the Switch.

The low battery of the Switch 2 is a factor for me, who plays the Switch on trains and at other places without being able to recharge.

Most importantly, the exclusive games are still abysmal. I bought 4 games last year just on the Switch (Poke Z-A, Lunar and Suikoden remaster and Octopath 0), why buy a Switch 2 when the current Switch lineup was still strong? Buying a Switch 2 then was utterly nonsensical unless you really really dig the exclusives. Now its slightly starting to get better, but still no game changing exclusives... Star Fox is like a 5-10 hour game and alleged OoT remake... is still a remake instead of a brand new Zelda. Why had the Switch 2 no great launch? Compare it to the Switch with BotW (subjectively questionable, but objectively a phenomenal game). Also, where are the great exclusive RPGs? Most stuff I noticed is just a port or Action/Strategy RPGs. Bravely Default was iffy enough on the 3DS, who wants to pay for this iffy RPG again? Meanwhile, I still get a kick out of Romancing Saga 2, Unicorn Overlord, Sea of Stars, Live A Live on the Switch. Zeldas and (most) Pokemon are on the old Switch as well.

I bought the Switch 2022 and by that time it already had plenty of games and it had a newer version with better hardware.

Can I expect to benefit from waiting for a better Switch 2 just as much? Is buying a Switch 2 now not worth it? I read a few comments panicking about the price increase, but without a great game, there is just no incentive. Half interested in finally playing Hogwarts Legacy and hopefully Visions of Mana (not on Switch 😞 ) comes as well, even though it isn't even a great game.
