Today I lost my expensive watch in RTC bus. I got down at last stop, before getting down I took off watch to put sunscreen on and kept it on side seat and completely forgotten. I went on with my business for any hour and then got video call from wife and she noticed I don't have watch on my hand. Now this watch was first gift from my wife, more than money it had emotional value to me. I thought this is lost cause there is no way I am going to get it back, but since it was last stop maybe nobody took it and drivers do quick check before starting trip back I had hope.
I rushed back to stop, there was another bus, asked lady to check with other conductor. She checked conductor on ticket and called depot to check where is the bus and if he has reported any lost item. Fortunately he did and depot manager had asked him to return at the end of shift if I don't come looking for it. Lady told me bus is enroute and will be here in an hour.
I waited at bus stop, bus came, I met driver, he asked details about watch and then asked conductor to take picture with me as he is returning it, sent it depot manager. I explained him it's expensive and very much important me, took him to nearby Lemon Soda stall and had one with him.
One good thing happened to me today.
