Found a cockroach in my food from Kota Kachori (HSR Sector 4) – what action can I take?
Yesterday I ordered a kachori parcel from Kota Kachori in HSR Sector 4 by visiting the outlet myself.
When I opened the parcel, I noticed something unusual on top of the chutney. On closer inspection, I was shocked to find that it was a cockroach.
I honestly felt like throwing up. This was supposed to be my only meal, and if I hadn’t noticed it in time, I could have eaten it and possibly fallen seriously ill.
What’s even more concerning is that when I visited the outlet, the place already looked quite unhygienic — poor cleanliness and questionable food handling practices.
This makes me wonder what kind of hygiene checks are actually being enforced by FSSAI if such places are allowed to operate.
I’ve had to throw away the food, but more than that, this has been a really disturbing experience. I’m now genuinely hesitant to order food from outside.
I have photos and the bill as proof.
Can anyone suggest what actions I can take against this? Is it possible to file a complaint or take legal action in such cases?
