Currently at Absa and being encouraged to apply at Standard Bank. The offer is more money, but definitely more work too of course.

I’m struggling with whether the pay bump is worth the risk of potentially walking into a toxic environment or burning out. Current role isn’t perfect, but the culture is prefect and my peace matters to me.

For those who’ve moved between banks/corporates:
- Was the higher pay worth it?
- Any red flags I should look for before accepting?

Would appreciate honest experiences, especially from people in banking.
