Look, that Kindled was amazing. 10/10 will watch over and over and over.

But you know what's just as hot for me? The MC has a bounty on her head. A really big one. Most of the other LIs would be wanting to rush out and deal with the guy, but Sylus just stands back and lets MC call the shots from beginning to end - literally. And he never once criticizes her choices or makes her feel like she made the wrong one. Sure, he takes care of the little irritants for her, but that's more because he sees them as beneath her than the idea that she can't handle it herself. When it comes to the real problem, he lets her solve it herself, and just gives her his quiet, unconditional support the entire time.

And that is just as sexy, if not even more so, than the Kindled. The unwavering confidence in his mate, the absolute certainty that whatever choice she makes it's the right one for her, the belief that she can do anything she puts her mind to... that's true love. And he'll always stand right behind her, ready to step in if she wants him to, or hold her coat if she doesn't.
