Hey guys, 9 months passed after I finished my 3D animation course. Course took 6 months. During the course i was working with a mentor of course. But i was a lot behind my course mates with every assignment given. Always being behind broke my motivation at some point. After course, i studied on my own without a mentor. Of course I was showing my works to the communities like Agora. But not as much as i did when i am in the course. I am doing a body mechanic study rn (i planned to finish it in 2 weeks but ended up a month and i was working as planned, i don’t know when it went wrong), i wanna show it to my old mentor but i didn’t talk to him after course. I don’t want him to think i am such a slow a*s. I kinda want to impress him somehow because he believed me so much. He gave the course to me almost free, I don’t want to be such a disappointment. When i see how people improves in short times, i just wonder something is wrong with me. Maybe i am too perfectionist, I don’t know… I really need some advices from both animators and mentors. Especially to the ones who are mentoring people, did you have students like this?
