title just about summarizes my question. i've been throwing a few hundred dollars into a robinhood account for a while every few paychecks. it's really not much - i'm at about $2,700 between my VOO, VTI, and a couple stocks i bought and lost a couple hundred bucks on because the company is local and i believe in em (still do, but they were overvalued at their IPO). i'm considering selling what i have here to throw it at some of my debts. i'm not in bad shape or in debt emergency anything, i'd just really like to get my car (2024 Honda w $9k balance left) and student loans ($15k) paid off early so my paychecks go a little farther and i can maybe make extra payments on the house.

If i sold today, does robinhood calculate what is short and long term capital gains for me? is each purchase of VOO it's own transaction for which i need to know if the gains are long or short term? do i need to track the performance of each individual purchase? will my long term losses on those stocks offset the short term gains from more recent purchases?

New to ETFs, new to investing, have never realized a gain and am confused by all this. Alternatively, am i stupid for selling as the overall performance of my portfolio is doing fairly well? my priorities have just shifted from saving and investing to getting aggressive with debt.

thanks y'all
