Keldric Faulk appears to be 21, not 20
I'm like 95% sure Keldric Faulk will be 22 years old by the time the 2026 NFL season starts. His birthday is September 7th, 2004, not 2005. Which is fine, I just have no idea how it's been so widely reported that he's OnLy 20 yEarS Old. It's literally in almost every scouting report/video on Keldric, listed as one of his major positives. The only site I've found at this point that has his age correctly shown as 21 is 247.
I found 3 different birthday facebook posts from his Mom that would have his birthday as 9/7/2024, so it's not like he or people around him are orchestrating some great conspiracy:
Also, not to be morbid, but his dad died in November 2008. Then this 247 article mentions that Keldric was 4 when his father died.
Also, it looks like Dane Brugler has now started to update his Keldric Faulk profile in The Beast to reflect that he's 21 and not 20. I have a downloaded pdf version of The Beast that shows him listed at 20 and says "you best on a developing, 20-year old player with his exciting traits" in the bold headline. This part seems to now have been removed from his online "The Beast" profile on The Athletic - the whole bold headline statement that also compared him to Mykel Williams has been cut. However it still states that he was 3 and not 4 when his dad passed.
I have to assume NFL teams know he's 21 and not 20, but it's wild how pervasive this mistake was throughout the draft coverage. It's not like he's an international player - he grew up in Alabama..
