Hey all, I have a cardiologist appointment soon, and to give backstory I am 24 male, I am in the ng. The past two drills everytime I had to do pt and stuff, even in the slightest, my BP went up to 150 bpm, I vomit and I pass out/get light headed and my heart rate doesn't go down for hours after I've just been sitting there, and even then it only goes down to 100 bpm.
I got put on profile where I couldn't do anything, and the doctor in the er looked at all my scans and stuff and said I didn't have a stroke or heart attack or anything, but he brought up pots as it fits what's been happening to me and ever since then it really opened my eyes to my past, whenever I stand for too long I always get super light headed, if I push myself physically during pt tests and stuff I almost always vomit and faint, or at the very least my world goes sideways. I have low energy a lot of the days to the point where I've had to call off my civilian job.
My best friend has pots and she basically confirmed it, but once again waiting for a medical professional to diagnose me, I also get dizzy literally everytime I stand up but I've always shook these things off as me being weak and I just need to "be stronger" infantry basic training was a real killer for me but I managed to graduate, and anyone who knows stuff about the army knows what that entails.
I'm super scared, if I get diagnosed I'm gonna get medically discharged from the guard, I'm gonna probably lose my job or position in my civilian career (law enforcement) and its essentially gonna bring me back to square one in my mid twenties. I feel so powerless and weak, and ik a lot of it is just army doctrine, I drink a crap ton of water and make sure to keep my electrolytes up so ik it isn't that. I just don't know where to go rn and I could really use support.
