During the short time Michael left Dunder Mifflin and started the Michael Scott Paper Company, he managed to:
- Hire three new people
- Secure an investor meeting
- Find an office space
- Find a delivery van
- Steal a significant number of Dunder Mifflin clients
All of that in just a few weeks.
Meanwhile, Charles Minor was supposed to stabilize the Scranton branch and find a replacement for Michael. Which shouldn’t have been hard, considering it’s literally mentioned by the guy coming for an interview that DM is one of the only places hiring in a huge region (as far as Philly).
But by the time David Wallace ends up buying out Michael’s company and offering him his job back, there is still no new manager in place.
So what exactly was Charles doing that whole time?
Was he actually “very competent,” or just good at looking the part?
