Structural vibration app

I’ve been recently building a simple Android app for indicative assessment of structural vibrations using a phone accelerometer.

Simply capture a short measurement on site, then assess the results, with interpretation based on commonly adopted UK and US vibration assessment guidance.

The current version of VibraAssess includes:

- short timed recordings

- response factor or peak acceleration assessment against selected guidance

- time-history and frequency plots

- saved sessions for later review

- export of measurement data for further inspection

- and more

It is intended as an initial screening tool rather than a substitute for detailed professional assessment, but I think it can be useful for quick checks on floors and similar structures.

It’s currently in closed testing on Google Play. If you work in structural engineering and would like an early look or may have a suggestion, feel free to message me.
